Cochrane

Cochrane was officially founded in 1954 under the name Pueblo Nuevo, originally established in Las Latas area, located specifically in Chacabuco valley.

Another characteristic that calls the attention of the visitors is the big mountain mass that seems to surround the whole town. Among these mountains we can name Baez, Tamango and Esmeralda chain, easy to be distinguished by its ever snowed summits. It has unsteady weather, even though summertime is more regular reaching temperatures over 20º Celsius.
